Why this exists
Someone in your corner, from the first second.
Tens of millions of police contacts happen every year, and the overwhelming majority end well. What most people would love in that moment is simple: to know what they are allowed to say, and to have someone they trust right there with them. One of the few free tools that helped, ACLU Mobile Justice, shut down in February 2025 [5], and the ACLU has not replaced it.
So we built MyGuardian™. It is free, it speaks your language, and it belongs entirely to the person holding the phone. Not to a platform, not to a police department, not to an insurer. Just to you, and to whoever you choose to let in.

Someone is with you, and you get to keep your attention on the person in front of you. Someone who cares about you can see what you see, in your own language, and the evidence afterward belongs to you.
For the officers who serve
The line we keep coming back to is a simple one: you would want this on your own daughter’s phone. Nearly all of these encounters are professional, and now there is a record that shows it. In one small department’s randomized trial of officer-worn cameras, force was used about half as often on camera shifts. [4] The evidence across departments is mixed, and we say so. Transparency is still an officer’s best witness.
For the community around them
When everyone knows the moment is being preserved as tamper-evident evidence, the temperature usually comes down. There is far more to agree on afterward, because the evidence was captured while it was happening. That is how trust gets rebuilt, one encounter at a time.
This is a community. We are building relationships with law enforcement, with their organizations and with their leaders, alongside civil-rights organizations, unions, universities and neighborhood groups. Common ground is something you build together, with everybody standing on it, and everybody is welcome here.

Live transcription is processed on our infrastructure, so that stream is decrypted for processing and we say so rather than calling the whole product end-to-end encrypted. Your data is yours. Insurers, employers and partners get adoption numbers, and that is all they will ever get.

Promises made in marketing can be withdrawn in a product update. Promises written into the terms take notice, a change log, and in three cases cannot be withdrawn at all. So ours are going into the contract, and you can read all ten today.
- Your recordings belong to you: sole ownership, full export, and deletion from our systems on request.
- Free protection, forever. SOS Mode is never paywalled.
- We never sell your data, including “anonymized” behavioral data.
- We never become what we guard against. No facial recognition, no crowd surveillance.
Radical transparency
Twice-yearly transparency reports, published audits, a warrant canary and 72-hour breach notice. Three of the ten commitments are designated non-amendable.
